Quill Hound Voice for Chrome: privacy policy
Effective October 6, 2026. Last updated October 6, 2026.
Publisher: Quill Hound. This notice covers only the browser extension. The Voice web app it hands numbers to is covered by our main Privacy Policy.
What the extension does
It adds Call with Voice to Chrome's right-click menu. When you choose it on a phone number, the extension passes that one number to the Quill Hound Voice web app (voice.quillhound.com), which you sign in to, so Voice can place the call.
What it reads
- Only the text you highlighted, or the link you right-clicked, and only when you choose Call with Voice.
- The addresses of the frames in the current tab, to find an open Voice panel. It doesn't read those pages' contents.
What it stores and sends
- The phone number goes only to the Voice web app at voice.quillhound.com: either to a Voice panel already open in the tab, or in the address of a small Voice window the extension opens. From there the call is handled like any other Voice call, under the Quill Hound Voice terms your organization agreed to and our main Privacy Policy.
- It remembers the id of the Voice window it opened, in Chrome's session storage, until the browser closes.
- It has no analytics or tracking, collects no browsing history, and sends nothing to any server other than voice.quillhound.com.
- It doesn't sell, share or use data for advertising, credit or any purpose unrelated to placing the call.
Permissions
- contextMenus: the Call with Voice menu item.
- webNavigation: finding an open Voice panel in the current tab.
- scripting with access to voice.quillhound.com only: handing the number to that Voice panel.
- storage: remembering the Voice window it opened.
- notifications: telling you when a right-click isn't a phone number.
Removing it
Remove the extension from chrome://extensions at any time; the session-storage entry is deleted with it.
